Obituary

Incredibly full, yet incredibly short describes the life of Kristina Grace Roth, of El Paso, Illinois. She entered the arms of her Savior on the Atlantic coast of Costa Rica on January 20, 2021. 21-year old Krista was with her parents Tom and Jenni Roth and her “adopted” Costa Rican brother Felix Fonseca at the time of her home-going. Memorial Funds

  • Water Projects

Krista wrote in her journal that she wanted to help solve the world’s water crisis. Eighteen water collection tanks ($15,300-$18,500 each) serving 50,000+ kids and their communities in central Kenya are already built and in use.

  • Krista's Rainforest

On what would have been Krista’s 22nd birthday which would have taken place on April 22, 2021, Krista’s friends and friends donated to start a rainforest restoration project in Costa Rica. This was to fulfill a childhood dream of Krista’s.

  • Other Projects

El Paso-Gridley High School gave out the Krista Roth Outstanding Musician award to a deserving senior with a gift of $250. Krista’s memorial funds were also used to sponsor a student in Kenya who is studying Aeronautical Engineering.

Krista’s Celebration of Life was like no other. From her amazing Marching Illini friends to family-friend musicians, the celebration was filled with the majestic sounds of brass from beginning to end. And the service ended with a New Orleans jazz brass ensemble funeral send off.

Mansions of the Lord

A beautiful tribute video made by Krista’s fellow trumpet friends in the Marching Illini.
